Port City Sheds is operated by Anthony and Jamie, a licensed General Contractor (GC LIC #63008) with over 40 years of combined building experience. We have the expertise, licensing, and capability to build virtually anything on your property — from the ground up. Whether that's a permitted structure on a concrete slab, a fully engineered outdoor living space, or a custom build that requires coordination with your county's permitting office, we've done it — and we've done it right. We don't just build sheds. We build outdoor structures that are done once, done correctly, and built to last.

These aren't cookie-cutter projects pulled off a spec sheet. Every one of them started with a conversation, a site visit, and a plan built around the client's property and vision.

We're Selective About the Projects We Take On

We'll be straightforward with you: custom builds are not our lowest-priced offering, and we're not trying to be. Our labor rate for custom projects typically runs $3,000–$5,000 per day, plus materials. That rate reflects what it costs to have a licensed general contractor and his crew show up prepared, skilled, and accountable — not a subcontracted crew you've never met. Because we manage a limited number of custom projects at a time, we're intentional about what we take on. We look for clients who value quality over the lowest bid, who want the job done right the first time, and who understand the difference between hiring a licensed GC versus a handyman with a truck. • On-Site Consultation & Design Quote: For larger scopes involving permits, foundations, and detailed material selection, we charge a non-refundable $785 design and consultation fee.

Why the Consultation Fee Exists

Large custom builds require real work before the first nail is driven — site evaluation, permit research, design planning, and material scoping. Rather than offer vague free estimates that don't reflect the real complexity of your project, we charge a fee that ensures your build gets the attention it deserves from the start.
